Unable To Pay Via UPI Due to Poor Network? Here’s How To Use The Offline Mode

A trustworthy and effective payment system is essential in the fast-paced world we live in today. Digital transactions have ingrained themselves into every aspect of our lives. Unified Payments Interface (UPI) stands out from the rest in terms of its effectiveness, practicality, and security. We have become accustomed to using UPI payments almost everywhere – from grocery stores, and restaurants to petrol pumps. There is one menacing factor that can put us in jeopardy if reliant solely on UPI payment, which is a lack of network service. Many areas can have poor network connectivity. This can land you in a soup, particularly if you have just bought something at a shop or had dinner at a restaurant and do not have cash on you. Do not worry if this happens because there is a workaround to this. We are going to tell you how to make UPI payments offline.

The payment can be done not only through UPI but also through cards and other online methods as well. For this, first of all, you have to use a code. This code when dialled does not make a call but opens a flash message on your screen instead. This code is *99#. Seven options will show up.

These options include sending money, requesting money, checking your balance and viewing your pending requests. To choose your purpose, type the number written next to that option and send it. The first option is sending money, so in this case type 1 and send it. Five options will show up thereafter.

You will get the option to send money to a mobile number, UPI or any beneficiary already saved in your phone. You can select this as per your choice. Now choose the option of UPI. You will be asked to enter the UPI ID, where you want to send the money. You enter the UPI ID and then enter the amount you want to send. Before sending the amount, you have to mention the reason for sending the amount. After this, you will have to enter your UPI password, just like you do for your UPI app. Your money will be transferred successfully.
