The dream of owning a home in Delhi is set to become a reality for many, thanks to the Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) upcoming housing project. This initiative aims to provide residents with affordable housing options and elevate their living standards. DDA is preparing to offer more than 4,000 flats across various categories, including 1 BHK, 2 BHK, and 3 BHK, making homeownership in Delhi more accessible than ever.

In a departure from conventional housing schemes, DDA is adopting a novel approach. Rather than adhering to rigid time constraints, this housing scheme will empower individuals to select flats at their convenience. Streamlining the allotment process, the authority will apply the first-come, first-serve principle. This dynamic shift in approach is expected to provide greater flexibility to prospective homeowners.

DDA’s housing scheme will offer flats across different categories, catering to varying needs and preferences. One-room LIG (Low-Income Group) flats will be available at prices ranging between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 22 lakh. For those seeking larger accommodations, two-room apartments will be offered at approximately Rs 1 crore, while three-bedroom flats will be priced between Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore rupees.

In a significant development, the Delhi Development Authority has recently revised its housing rules to expand accessibility. Individuals who already own a house or plot in Delhi will now be eligible to purchase flats in DDA’s housing schemes. This rule amendment is poised to broaden the pool of potential homeowners and enhance the appeal of DDA’s housing initiatives.

Among these, 199 apartments in Narela and Dwarka have found buyers, along with 41 HIG (High-Income Group) apartments in Jasola that have been reserved. To secure a flat in DDA’s housing scheme, individuals are required to make a booking fee deposit of Rs 50,000 for the economically weaker section (EWS) and Rs 1 lakh for the low-income group (LIG). DDA’s LIG housing scheme encompasses locations in Lok Nayak Puram, Rohini, Siraspur, and Narela within Delhi.
