World Cup 2023: Tickets for India Matches to Go on Sale Again, IND vs NED Warm-up Match Available

The fans can still book the tickets for India vs Netherlands warm-up clash which will be played on October 3 in Trivandrum.

Arespite for cricket fans as it seems like they still have a chance to book their tickets for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which will be played in India from October to November. The tickets were sold out in a flash when the ICC first opened the booking for the fans on the official ticket booking partner BookMyShow. The cricket governing body and BCCI faced a lot of scrutiny for mismanagement regarding ticket bookings as they had to wait for hours to book their tickets from the website. However, earlier this month, the BCCI decided to release 400,000 more in their next phase of sales.

Meanwhile, the fans can still book the tickets for India vs Netherlands warm-up clash which will be played on October 3 in Trivandrum.

The latest development on BookMyShow suggested that more tickets will be released for the India World Cup matches in the coming days. However, the BCCI has not released any official statement regarding that.

Meanwhile, according to the original itinerary, the tickets were supposed to close on September 15 with the final phase.

25 August – Non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches

30 August – India matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum

31 August – India matches at Chennai, Delhi and Pune

1 September – India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow and Mumbai

2 September – India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata

3 September – India matches at Ahmedabad

15 September – Semi Finals and Final

The mega event will get underway from October 5 in Ahmedabad when defending champions England take on New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

As many as 48 matches will be played between October 6 and November 19 across 10 venues in India including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Dharamsala, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune and Bengaluru.

As many as 10 top cricket nations from around the world will be part of the over two-month-long ODI World Cup which India is solely hosting for the first time in its history.

Each team plays the other nine in a round-robin format with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals. The first semi-final will be held on Wednesday, November 15 in Mumbai and the second semi-final will be held the following day in Kolkata. Both semi-finals will have a reserve day.

The final will be played on November 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
