India’s National Health Authority (NHA) is celebrating a significant milestone in its mission to digitize healthcare. The Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA)-based Scan and Share service, a paperless system aimed at improving hospital registration efficiency, has successfully generated over one crore tokens for Out-Patient Department (OPD) registrations.

The Scan and Share service is an integral part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. This initiative was launched to accelerate the adaptation of digital solutions in India’s healthcare sector. Currently, the service is active in over 2,600 health facilities across 419 districts in 33 states and union territories. Some of the top-performing health facilities for the service include the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, SRN Hospital in Prayagraj, and AIIMS in Raipur.
