From UPI to the digitization of government facilities, fast-speed internet has become a necessity for people to continue working. However, the mobile network is often unreliable, and cable fiber networks are not available everywhere. Therefore, to help people achieve faster speeds with a wireless connection, Jio finally started offering Jio AirFiber in September 2023.

Jio AirFiber is a wireless internet service from Jio that uses 5G technology to provide high-speed internet connectivity. It is designed to meet the needs of home entertainment, smart home services, and high-speed broadband. It offers speeds comparable to those of traditional fiber-optic connections, and users can also access speeds of up to 1 Gbps.
Jio states that Jio AirFiber is similar to wireless 4G dongles but with additional benefits, such as broadband-like speeds via 5G. Users can choose from 30Mbps, 100Mbps, 150Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps plans.
Jio Airfiber available in these cities
Jio is rolling out the AirFiber service nationwide. However, as of the initial launch, the service is available in only eight cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
How to book Jio Airfiber connection
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to book a JioAirfiber connection:
Check availability. Go to the Jio website, My Jio app, or contact Jio customer support to check if Jio AirFiber is available in your area.
Initiate booking. You can book a new connection by giving a missed call to 60008-60008, visiting the Jio website or My Jio app, or visiting your nearest Jio Store.
Register for Jio AirFiber. Provide the required details to complete the registration process.

Await confirmation. Jio will contact you when the services become available in your building or location.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive your Jio AirFiber connection, which includes a WiFi router, 4K Smart Set-Top Box, and a voice-activated remote. An outdoor unit will also be installed on your terrace/rooftop or outside your home.
Please note that Jio is offering the new connection at no extra cost. However, the company will charge an installation service of Rs 1,000– this fee will be waived if you opt for an annual plan. Users also have the option to pay on a monthly basis using credit/debit card-based EMI while still enjoying the benefits of an annual plan.
JioAirfiber plans
With the introduction of Jio AirFiber, the company has unveiled six AirFiber plans, each offering high-speed internet and supplementary features. These Jio AirFiber plans fall into two distinct categories: AirFiber and AirFiber Max plans.
Jio AirFiber plans: Under this category, Jio presents three plans with price points of Rs 599, Rs 899, and Rs 1199, respectively. These plans provide internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps, in addition to extra perks such as access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps. The Rs 1199 plan even includes complimentary subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and JioCinema Premium.
Jio AirFiber Max plans: Within this category, Jio offers three plans priced at Rs 1499, Rs 2499, and Rs 3999, respectively. These plans provide blazing internet speeds of up to 1Gbps and a range of additional benefits, including access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and JioCinema Premium. Notably, Jio AirFiber Max will be available in select areas.
