Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has launched its new A series smartphone in the affordable category in India. The company has introduced Oppo A79 5G in the country, that comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, a 6.72-inch FHD+ display, 50MP main camera and a massive a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The Oppo A79 5G 8GB+128GB storage model is priced at Rs 19,999. The smartphone comes in wing Green and Mystery Black colour options and is available at the OPPO Store, Flipkart, Amazon, and other retail outlets.
The company has also announced a cashback of up to Rs 4,000 and no-cost EMI for up to 9 months from ICICI Bank, SBI Cards, Kotak for interested buyers. The weight of the Oppo A79 5G is 193 grams and it is 7.99mm thin. The device comes with polycarbonate frame and a metallic texture. The handset also offers an IPX4 rating.

In terms of camera specifications, the Oppo A79 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
