Ankita Lokhande Reacts For 1st Time To Sushant Singh Rajput Breakup On Bigg Boss: ‘Wo Ek Raat…’

Ankita Lokhande, who is currently a contestant on Bigg Boss 17, has broken her silence over her breakup with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Ankita and Sushant fell in love on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. They began dating in 2010 and parted ways in 2016. During her conversation with co-contestant Munawar Faruqui, Ankita revealed that she and Sushant dated each other for about seven years.

“Wo ek dum rak raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh log uske kaan bhar rahe the (He suddenly disappeared. He was getting success so people were trying to manipulate him),” Ankita told Munawar. She also revealed that Sushant never really gave her any explanation for their breakup.

Earlier, Ankita mentioned that after she parted ways with Sushant, it took her two and a half years to move on. She claimed that even though Sushant had moved on after their breakup, she could not imagine herself dating somebody else for a long time.

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput played the role of Archana and Manav on Pavitra Rishta and their chemistry was widely loved by all. Sushant quit the show in 2011 to focus on his Bollywood career. His sudden death in June 2020 left everyone shocked. Sushant was dating actress Rhea Chakraborty at the time of his death.

Ankita, who is now married to Vicky Jain, often talks about Sushant in her interviews. “It is not easy for a man to watch his to-be wife giving interviews on her ex-boyfriend on television and talking about her past. There were different stories emerging everyday and I was right there talking about Sushant all the time. Vicky comes from a very respectable family. I remember they called me and supported me saying, ‘Don’t worry, all will be well,” she had told ETimes.
