In yet another episode of culinary creativity gone awry, a viral video has taken the internet by storm, showcasing a woman preparing Pakodas (fritters) using biscuits that have left the Indian foodies both baffled and bewildered. And what came in as a more shocking element was the way a spicy masala was tucked between the beloved Parle-G biscuits, which were then deep-fried to create a truly bizarre treat. The video, which has gone viral on a popular micro-blogging site, showcases a woman seated next to a large frying pan. To begin, she immerses Parle-G biscuits into a batter typically reserved for making Pakodas, consisting of besan and various spices. She proceeds to deep-fry them. However, in a subsequent part of the same video, she prepares a potato filling, akin to what Desis typically create for parathas. This involves boiling potatoes, peeling them, and adding a dash of spices.

Then, the bizarre twist emerges when she sandwiches the potato filling between two Parle-G biscuits, dips them in the same flour batter, and deep-fries them. Finally, the result is served piping hot, accompanied by some chutney.

While the video’s uploader claimed that it originated from Gujarat, many in the comments section concurred and requested proof.

However, the oddity of the dish was enough to not let viewers delve deeper into the details as they would never want to take a bite of it.

One viewer eloquently pleaded, “Can I please unsee it?” Another, with a touch of humour, observed, “Seems like inspired from Americans. Americans eat fried Oreo.” A third individual even playfully suggested, “We shld file case against them.”

Nonetheless, this isn’t the first instance of the internet serving up Pakodas made from biscuits. Earlier, a food blogger showed how a street food vendor prepared Oreo Pakode. The method for making these peculiar Pakodas was identical to traditional ones. The vendor opened a packet of Oreo biscuits, dipped them into a besan paste, and then deep-fried them. After five minutes, he removed them from the oil and served ‘Oreo Pakode’ to his customers, complete with a side of green chutney.
