It’s anticipated that the Mahindra XUV300 will get a significant feature and design update. Mahindra will announce pricing for the XUV300 facelift in Feb 2024.
Mahindra is gearing up to launch an updated version of the XUV300, its compact SUV model.
The XUV300 competes with other vehicles in its segment such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue.
Recent sightings of test mules indicate ongoing testing and development of the upgraded subcompact SUV. Autocar India suggests that Mahindra is likely to introduce the new XUV300 in February 2024, with pricing details to be revealed around the same time. It’s worth noting that the launch of the updated XUV400 EV is set to precede the release of the redesigned XUV300, with the former hitting the market in January 2024.

MAHINDRA XUV300 FACELIFT: DETAILS ON LAUNCH
There is fierce competition in the subcompact SUV market, and it appears that the XUV300 is falling behind. Tata Motors gave the Nexon a major facelift in September 2023, and Kia is set to give the Sonet a similar treatment later this month. Hyundai and Maruti have maintained the modernity of their corresponding subcompact SUVs.
Mahindra must therefore release a thorough update for the XUV300, which hasn’t had a significant facelift since its initial 2018 launch. The forthcoming XUV300 may have modified external styling, according to recent spy photos. For example, the front fascia gets a complete redesign with new headlamps and circular fog lamps. Meanwhile, the new C-shaped LED DRLs for the headlamp cluster are modelled after the bigger XUV700.

MAHINDRA XUV300 FACELIFT: DESIGN AND ENGINE
The tailgate has been redesigned at the back, and the wraparound tail lights have been replaced with more streamlined LED units that are vertically oriented. More significantly, unlike the previous model, the registration plate is now located on the rear bumper rather than the tailboard. The result is a reprofiled rear bumper with fresh chrome inserts. Except for distinct alloy wheels, the side profile is mostly unchanged.
Apart from styling changes, the XUV300 facelift will include features such as a segment-first panoramic sunroof and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Reports also state that there will be no ADAS or 360-degree camera available.

It is estimated that Mahindra will retain the same range of engine options as the outgoing model, which include a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 128 bhp and 230 Nm of torque, and a 1.2-liter turbocharged mStallion petrol engine producing 200 Nm of torque and 109 bhp. However, Mahindra could use a torque converter unit instead of the jerky 6-speed AMT. Also, a six-speed manual gearbox will come standard.
