Asus announces ZenBook 14 OLED laptop with Intel’s Core Ultra processor, promises over 15 hours of battery

Asus has just announced a new laptop that not only has a sleek and stylish design, but also promises a top-notch performance. Meet the Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405), a laptop with a premium appeal powered by Intel’s recently launched AI-powered Ultra Core processor. The laptop promises users a seamless, powerful, and efficient experience tailored for work, gaming, and connectivity. Zenbook 14 OLED top specifications

The Zenbook 14 OLED is crafted with a sleek all-metal design and weighs just 1.2 kg. With a slim profile of 14.9 mm, the laptop is likely to be super easy to carry around. Hence, it could be the perfect option for users looking for a laptop that they want to carry to their workplaces. 

Despite its portability, the laptop doesn’t seem to compromise on other fronts. It will come with a 75 Wh battery, promising up to 15 hours of battery life. Thus, users might no longer have to compromise on performance in return for portability. The specially designed battery will also support up to 20 percent more charging cycles than previous models, protecting the user’s investment and helping to maximize the laptop’s life. The laptop comes with USB Type-C charging, which can be a huge plus for some users. 

As mentioned already, the laptop comes with Intel’s recently launched AI-powered Ultra Core processor. These processors include a dedicated engine to help unlock AI experiences, promising to take things to the next level when it comes to immersive graphics. The processors are also said to enable high-performance low-power processing, so users can work, game and create while enjoying a long battery life.

Combined with the laptop’s up to 1 TB SSD storage, 32 GB RAM and WiFi 6E (802.11ax)6, Asus says that users will wait less and be able to work faster, wherever they are.

Another notable feature of the Zenbook 14 OLED is its 3K ASUS Lumina OLED 120 Hz touchscreen, which claims to provide an immersive audiovisual experience. User-centric design features include a face login, a privacy-focused FHD IR camera with a physical shutter, and a quiet ASUS ErgoSense keyboard for comfortable and distraction-free typing.

In line with contemporary environmental concerns, sustainability takes a prominent role in the Zenbook 14 OLED’s design. Asus says that it has incorporated recycled materials extensively in both the laptop and its packaging, showcasing a commitment to environmental responsibility. Additionally, the laptop has undergone rigorous US military-grade durability testing, ensuring not only longevity but also minimising its environmental footprint.

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED price and availability

Asus has announced that the ZenBook 14 OLED (UX3405) is set to release in early 2024 in the US. It will have a starting price of USD 1,299. The laptop will be accessible for purchase directly from the Asus eShop and will also be available at Best Buy.

Details about the India launch date haven’t been revealed yet.
