Italy’s Georgia Meloni says no place for Islam in Europe: ‘Compatibility problem’

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that the Islamic culture is not entirely compatible with European civilization, adding that she would not allow Sharia law to be implemented in Italy.

The Italian Prime Minister said that Islamic culture and the values and rights of European civilisation have a “compatibility problem”.

“I believe there is a problem of compatibility between Islamic culture and the values ​​and rights of our civilization. Will not allow Sharia law to be implemented in Italy. The values ​​of our civilization are different!” said Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Meloni’s remarks came at a political festival organised by her far-right party – the Brothers of Italy – in Rome. The event was also attended by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
