IndiGo to launch direct flights from Ayodhya to Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad – Details inside

IndiGo Airlines is all set to launch direct flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya from January 15 next year. The carrier is also slated to commence its direct service to important centres like Delhi and Gujarat from Ayodhya.

The announcement has come in the backdrop of IndiGo’s inaugural operations at the soon-to-be-inaugurated Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, starting December 30, 2023. The commercial operations from Delhi to Ayodhya will commence on January 06, 2024, followed by flights from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya starting January 11, 2024.

Aimed at providing seamless and direct access to Ayodhya, these new daily flights will enhance passengers’ travel experience.

IndiGo to add Ayodhya as its 86th domestic destination

Upon its inauguration, the Ayodhya Airport will become the 86th domestic destination and 118th overall destination, in the airline’s network.

The inaugural flight from Delhi will arrive in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023. Subsequently, the commercial operations for a direct flight will commence between Delhi and Ayodhya from January 06, 2024, followed by tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya from January 11, 2024. 

For centuries, Ayodhya has been a cornerstone of religious devotion, serving as the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama. The city boasts a plethora of renowned ancient temples, ghats, and sacred sites that draw millions of pilgrims and tourists from across the globe.
