That said, it would mark a significant departure from the green shade that the app has been known for over the years, whether on iOS or Android. When Is It Going To Be Available?

As of now, this feature is currently under development, which means it isn’t available for beta testers yet. However, it shouldn’t be long before we get to see it in a beta version of the iOS app. For now, you can resort to choosing a chat wallpaper to customize the app. You can choose between Bright, Dark, and Solid colours, but also choose an image of your own.

In related WhatsApp news, WhatsApp is testing a new update for its web version that includes a darker colour scheme and a redesigned sidebar. This could potentially help in reducing eye strain while using the app and improve its aesthetics.
