With Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC, residents no longer need to provide photocopies of their Aadhaar letter. Instead, they can download the KYC XML and present it to agencies requiring their KYC. The agency can then verify the KYC details provided by the resident. The KYC information is in a machine-readable XML format digitally signed by UIDAI, ensuring authenticity and enabling detection of any tampering.
