IMD Weather Update: Central India to receive rainfall till Feb 14; temperature likely to rise in coming days – Check Full Forecast

Wet spells are also in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand till February 14, the weather forecast agency mentioned.  Under the influence of a trough/cyclonic circulation over central parts of the country, isolated to scattered light rainfall is predicted over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh during the next 5 days.

Parts of central India are likely to receive light rainfall from February 10 to 14, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned in its latest weather bulletin.

Under the influence of a trough/cyclonic circulation over central parts of the country, isolated to scattered light rainfall is predicted over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh during the next 5 days.

Southern states like coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Telangana and Kerala will also see rainy weather on February 10 and 11.

Delhi see clear sky

As per the national weather forecast agency, the national capital is expected to see a clear sky on Friday (today) with mist in the morning, while the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 8 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively. 

Delhi on Thursday recorded a maximum temperature of 20.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average, as per IMD.

The air quality in the national capital remained in the moderate category while the humidity level oscillated between 89 percent and 33 percent during the day.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded at 161, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). On Wednesday, the 24-hour AQI stood at 175, whereas on Tuesday, it was 141, and on Monday, 180, according to CPCB data.

Minimum temperature forecast

IMD has forecast no significant change in minimum temperatures over many parts of East India during the next 3 days and a rise of 2-3°C thereafter. 

No significant change in minimum temperatures over the rest of north India during the next 5 days. Further, cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
