Flipkart UPI Is Here: E-Commerce Website Announces ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’ To Take On Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm

Flipkart UPI Launched: Popular e-commerce company Flipkart has announced its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) handle to boost digital payments in India.

With the new service, users can set up their UPI ID for online and offline transactions across other outlets and payment means. The company noted that it will also offer cashback, Supercoins, vouchers, milestone benefits and more to users soon after registration.

On the e-commerce website’s app, Flipkart UPI can be used for payments while shopping. Moreover, the service can be used to pay UPI via QR codes, recharges, P2P transactions and bill payments, Flipkart said. In the initial phase, the e-commerce firm partnered with Axis Bank, where users can register for UPI services with the @fkaxis handle for digital transactions.

“This solution is cloud hosted and hence provides one of the most stable and scalable UPI platforms for customers,” said Sanjeev Moghe, President and Head – Cards and Payments, Axis Bank. With the one-click and quick option to make payments, the company aims to make the payment process more efficient.

‘Scan & Pay’ option in Flipkart’s app.

The company calls Flipkart UPI ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’ and claims to offer delightful incentives and features like instant refunds. To use the new services, users can open the Flipkart app and choose ‘Scan & Pay’. You can log in to your Flipkart account and follow the on-screen instructions to add your bank account. No convenience fee is levied on bill payments via the new UPI service.

Plus, Flipkart is also offering discounts of up to Rs 10 for a limited duration. Credit cards are also supported for the new UPI service and users can also link a Rupay credit card for merchant payments using Flipkart UPI.

It is all set to take on Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and more. The new announcement comes amid Paytm’s regulatory crisis.
