India Weather Update: Fresh snow spell in hilly regions; Delhi to see partly cloudy skies – Check full forecast 

Isolated hailstorm was observed over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on March 4

A fresh spell of rainfall and snowfall over the western Himalayan region is likely to commence from tonight till March 7, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned in its latest weather bulletin.

A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Himalayan region, due to which scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall are likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from March 5-7.

Meanwhile, an isolated hailstorm was observed over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on March 4, the MeT department mentioned.

Partly cloudy skies in Delhi 

The national capital is likely to witness partly cloudy skies today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively, the IMD said.

As per the weather forecast agency, Delhi on Monday recorded a maximum temperature of 24.9 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 9.5 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average.

Parts of Delhi NCR have been receiving light rainfall for the past three days. The national capital recorded traces of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Monday.

Rainfall in parts of the country

A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam at lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh during the next 3 days.

Northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland will experience rainy conditions today.

Rain spells were recorded in most places over Uttar Pradesh; at a few places over East Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Gujarat region, IMD mentioned.
