Besides, a new Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is set to be launched soon to serve the needs of commuters from South Tamil Nadu heading to the IT hub. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the train service next week. The Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will reportedly feature a fresh orange livery design.

Unlike other trains that typically take 7 hours to traverse the 435 km distance between Madurai and Bengaluru, the Vande Bharat Express manages the journey in just 6 or even 5.30 hours. The initial plan for this Vande Bharat train operating from Madurai to Bangalore involves either 16 coaches or 8 coaches. As it’s a daytime service, the train is expected to initially operate with eight coaches and additional coaches will be added as needed. Similar to other Vande Bharat trains, it will feature two classes: Executive Class and Chair Class.
