This video was recently shared on X (Formerly Twitter) where it got over 300 likes in less than a day. It is unclear when and where this video was first taken. While many people argued that it was inappropriate to dance inside the classroom and that too on an ‘item song’, a few thought that the dance was harmless and people should be more open-minded.

Expressing a critical opinion, an X user wrote, “In any sane country this would have resulted in automatic firing of the teacher but not in ours. We are not a serious country.”

Someone else defended the teacher and said, “Some people just can’t see others being happy and doing what they want to. Everyone should live in character at all times in life. Just because she’s a teacher she’s not entitled to dance? It’s not like it’s raunchy or provocative. Girls here are judged for everything they do.”

In December 2023, a video went viral that showed a teacher dancing with her students on the popular Garhwali song Gulabi Sharara. This video has over eight lakh likes as of March 16, 2024. After this video went viral, the teacher Kajal Asudani updated the video’s caption. She first thanked those who appreciated her dance and then clarified that the video was taken during a special school occasion and not in the middle of a regular school day. Asundani mentioned that she posted the video on Instagram after obtaining the consent of her students.

She wrote, “I am a strict teacher while teaching but also enjoy being with students. It was the time when an annual gathering happened in school. We believe apart from studies, extra curricular activities make students overall performers. The video was requested by students and was taken with consent. Our passion for dance and art could be seen from the video.”

Commenting on this video, an Instagram user wrote, “A perfect example of beauty with brains. Great going Kajal.. We teachers need to be entertainers also at times to keep our students enthusiastic.”
