Earlier in the day, the central agency issued ninth summons to Kejriwal in connection with its probe in the Delhi excise policy case. Following this, the ED shared a second notice to the AAP supremo in connection with a case linked to Delhi Jal Board.

Kejriwal has been asked to appear before the agency on Monday (March 18) in the Delhi Jal Board case and on Thursday (March 21) in the liquor policy case.

Reacting to the summons issued to Kejriwal, AAP leader Atishi said, “Nobody knows what this DJB (Delhi Jal Board) case is about. This seems to be a backup plan to arrest Kejriwal anyhow and stop him from campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls.”

Notably, Kejriwal has earlier skipped eight summonses issued by the agency in connection to the liquor policy scam case.

The Delhi court granted bail to Kejriwal in two complaints filed by the Enforcement Directorate against him for skipping consecutive summons in a money laundering case.

The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra also allowed Kejriwal to leave the courtroom.”Offence being bailable, accused Arvind Kejriwal is admitted to bail,” it said.

The court further directed the probe agency to hand over documents related to the complaints to Kejriwal.

For the unversed, the anti-corruption agency filed two complaints before the magisterial court, seeking Kejriwal’s prosecution for skipping multiple summonses issued to him in the case.

The complaint pertains to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor not honouring summonses no. 4 to 8 sent by the federal probe agency under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), PTI reported.

Earlier, Kejriwal, in an apparent dig at the Centre and ED, said he would build a school for each summon issued by probe agencies against him.

Kejriwal lashed out at the BJP, saying it came to power at the Centre with a massive mandate in May 2014 but pursued a model of ‘vinash’ by targeting opposition parties using the ED and the CBI against them.

He accused the BJP of poaching opposition MLAs to topple their government and also stalling the good work being done by them.

He also claimed that the BJP wanted to finish the Aam Aadmi Party and a plan was being prepared to send him to jail.
