Poco C61 spotted on Google Play Console listing, could launch under Rs 10,000

The Poco C61 could launch in India soon as the device has already been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Bluetooth SIG certification sites. The device has also now made an appearance on the Google Play Console listing. While the company is yet to confirm its existence, it will be a successor to the Poco C51 when it launches in the country and is expected to launch under Rs 10,000. Here is everything we know.

The Poco C61 has 2312BPC51H model number on the Google Play Console listing. It suggests that the device will be powered by a MediaTek SoC with the MT6765X codename. The details of the chip reveal that the upcoming budget Poco phone could pack a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. It is likely to ship with Android 14 OS out of the box. The rest of the details are currently under wraps.

It is being said that the Poco C61 could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A3 that was launched last month. It features a 6.7-inch LCD screen supporting HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the Redmi A3 is the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

In terms of photography, the Redmi A3 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Keeping up with standard features, the phone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port for charging. Additionally, it packs a 5,000mAh battery supporting 10W charging and runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 straight out of the box.
