Check EPF Balance via UMAG App Using UAN Number

Step 1. Download the UMANG App: Begin by downloading the UMANG App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2. Select Language and Register: Open the app, select your preferred language, and register yourself using your mobile number.

Step 3. Choose EPFO Option: From the list of services, select the EPFO option.

Step 4. View Passbook: Choose the ‘View Passbook’ option and enter your Universal Account Number (UAN).

Step 5. Receive OTP: Upon entering your UAN, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.

Step 6. Login and Check Balance: Enter the OTP to log in and follow the on-screen instructions to view your EPF balance.

Checking EPF Balance via SMS Using UAN Number

Step 1. Open Messages: Open the messaging app on your phone.Step 2. Compose Message: Type EPFOHO UAN first three letters of your preferred language (e.g., ENG for English).

Step 3. Send Message: Send the message to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number.

Step 4. Receive Balance: You will receive your EPF balance via SMS shortly.

How to Check Your UAN Number?: Here’s A Step-By-Step Guide

Step 1. Visit EPFO Portal: Go to unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in.

Step 2. Know Your UAN: Click on the ‘Know your UAN’ option on the main page.

Step 3. Enter Details: Enter required details like your EPF account number and member ID.

Step 4. Get Authorisation PIN: You will receive an authorisation PIN on your registered mobile number.

Step 5. Enter PIN: Enter the PIN to authenticate.

Step 6. Receive UAN: Your UAN will be sent to your registered mobile number.

If your UAN is not activated, you can click on ‘Activate Your UAN’ and follow the steps provided by the EPFO to activate it. Keeping track of your EPF balance ensures you stay informed about your retirement savings.
