Following the PM’s rally, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will also hold a roadshow in Nawada.

BJP’s national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said, “…PM Modi is coming to the land of Bihar today, RJD and Mahagathbandhan are rattled because of his visit. They think that they are contesting in a position now by having an alliance with VIP (Vikassheel Insaan Party). PM Modi visits Bihar as he loves this place.”

“This time Mahagathbandhan won’t even get one seat in the elections, the people of Bihar will give all 40 seats to PM Modi,” Hussain added.

After this, the prime minister’s cavalry will be in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri. This will be his first visit after the region was hit by a heavy storm.

PM MODI IN MADHYA PRADESH

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kickstart Bharatiya Janata Party’s election campaign in Madhya Pradesh. He will lead a roadshow in the Jabalpur constituency.

The roadshow along the 1.2 km-route will begin from Shaheed Bhagat Singh crossing and conclude at Adi Shankaracharya crossing in Jabalpur’s Gorakhpur, BJP city president Prabhat Sahu told news agency PTI.

This will be PM Modi’s first visit to Madhya Pradesh after the imposition of model code of conduct (MCC) on March 16.

Another party leader noted that tribal troupes will perform traditional dances during the roadshow. Additionally, special arrangements have been made to shower flowers upon the prime minister when his roadshow passes the Gorakhpur market area.

EARLIER ON SATURDAY

On Saturday, PM Modi held a roadshow in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad while extending his support to BJP candidate Atul Garg. He was also joined by the chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

He also addressed a public rally in Rajasthan’s Ajmer where he said that in his next term he will take more action against corruption. Taking a dig at the Congress party, PM Modi said, “I say remove corruption they (Congress) say save the corrupt…..they are not doing rallies for elections but doing rallies to save the corrupt.”

Earlier in the day as well, he had taken a swipe at the grand old party and said that its manifesto bears Muslim League imprint and that part of it is dominated by leftists. He further attacked Congress’ poll documents and called it a “jhooth ka pulinda” (bundle of lies).

Polling for the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in seven phases, the first of which is on April 19. Voting will also be held on April 26, May 7, 13, 20, 25, and June 1. The counting of votes for all 543 Lok Sabha seats will take place on June 4.
