Bank Holiday Today: According to the RBI holiday calendar, banks will remain closed on Gudipadwa (Tuesday 9), Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (Thursday), Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (1st Shawaal), and Bohag Bihu/Cheiraoba/Baisakhi/Biju Festival.

Bank Holiday Today: Banks in many states are closed on Tuesday on account of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Telugu New Year’s Day, Sajibu Nongmapanba (Cheiraoba), and the first day of Navratri, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar.

List of Cities Where Banks Are Closed Today

As per the RBI calendar, the banks are closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, and Srinagar due to Gudi Padwa, Ugadi Festival, Telugu New Year, and the first Navratri.

Bank Holiday in April 2024

Banks are closed for 14 days in April and these includes Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays.

In April, banks in some states will remain open for only three days as Gudi Padwa (April 9), Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (April 11) and second Saturday (April 13) of the month will be holidays.

As per the RBI bank holiday calendar, the banks will remain closed on Gudipadwa (Tuesday 9), Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (Thursday), Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (1st Shawaal), and Bohag Bihu/Cheiraoba/Baisakhi/Biju Festival.

Online Banking Services to Continue

Even as the banks are closed in some cities, the online banking will continue through mobile or net banking and the bank customers can use online banking facilities like internet banking and mobile banking on these holidays as well.
