Among so many people who hated voice notes, a person spoke in their favour. The user said, “WHY. Voicenotes are gorgeous. They’re little parcels of that person in audio. You can hear them from wherever they are, in real-time- they chuckle, sniffle, their voice catch, them laugh instead of “hahaha”. The throatiness if it’s morning, the sleepiness if it’s night. And you can reply in kind. You can play it at 2x speed, or extremely slow. It’s a phone conversation, but broken up. Also, they’ll play softly and just for you if you hold your phone to your ear- this is a feature most phones have!”
