From cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore one can reach Rishikesh through its railway station. For instance there are some trains such as Jan Shatabdi Express and Mussoorie Express which go up to Rishikesh via New Delhi . It takes about five – seven hours depending on the train chosen.

Road travel distance from Mumbai to Rishikesh is approximately 1,800 kilometers and it takes around 32-36 hours. There are various bus services that operate between the two cities as well as self-drive transport means.

3.From Kolkata to Rishikesh:

By Air:

Travelers coming from Kolkata can catch connecting flights via Delhi to Dehradun. Then they can hire either a cab or use bus until they arrive in Rishikesh.

By Train:

To reach Rishikesh by train from Kolkata, you will have first of all take a train/bus for Delhi and then go on with another journey up to New Delhi.

By Road:

Road travel distance between Kolkata and Rishikesh is approximately 1,600 kilometers and it takes approx. 28-32 hours . Various means of transport include self-drive and bus services that ply between these two cities.

4.From Bangalore to Rishikesh:

By Air:

For one way of getting there by train from Bangalore we need to catch trains going all the way up to Delhi before taking another one which will finally reach us at Haridwar/Roorkee/Doiwala/Dehradun stations where everyone gets off his/ her own personal vehicle or carriage
