Airtel Rs 1499 plan details

The Rs 1,499 prepaid plan offers a comprehensive package that includes 3GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. The plan is valid for 84 days, providing long-term value for customers. Additionally, Airtel offers a complimentary Netflix Basic subscription, granting users access to Netflix’s vast library of movies and TV shows. Users can also enjoy unlimited 5G data access in 5G-enabled areas, providing a faster and more seamless internet experience. The plan includes other perks such as an Apollo 24|7 Circle membership, free Hellotunes, and access to Wynk Music.

Interestingly, Netflix no longer offers its Basic plan to new subscribers directly through Netflix, but Airtel users can avail themselves of this plan and gain access to their vast library of movies and shows in standard definition (SD) quality for a budget-friendly price. This plan allows streaming on one device at a time, making it ideal for individual users. While it doesn’t offer the highest resolution or the ability to share the account, it provides a cost-effective way to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment content.

After recharging with the Airtel Rs 1,499 plan, here’s how you can claim your free Netflix plan:

How to Claim a Netflix Subscription

  • Open the Airtel Thanks app and navigate to the ‘Discover Thanks Benefits’ section.
  • Look for the Netflix benefit, which will be prominently displayed.
  • Tap on the ‘Claim’ button and follow the instructions to proceed.
  • Confirm the activation process, and the Netflix subscription will be linked to your mobile number.
  • The Netflix Basic subscription remains valid for the entire 84-day duration of the prepaid plan. According to Airtel’s policy, the benefit will continue as long as the customer stays on a Netflix-eligible recharge and within the plan’s validity period.

Meanwhile, Airtel’s main competitor, Reliance Jio, also offers prepaid plans with Netflix subscriptions. Jio’s Rs 1,099 plan caters to mobile users with 2GB of daily data and an 84-day validity, while the Rs 1,499 plan is suited for larger-screen viewing and provides unlimited 5G internet on compatible devices.
