Bank are closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana), Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.

Maharashtra Day
May 1 is celebrated as Maharashtra Day in honour of the formation of the state of Maharashtra in India. The day marks the anniversary of when the state was officially formed in 1960.
Labour Day
May 1 is also marked as May day/ Labour day. The day commemorates the contributions of workers and the labour movement across the world.
Bank holidays in May 2024
Banks will remain shut for a total of 14 days in May across various regions in India. The 14-day holiday in May will include national and regional holidays as well as Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
