Deoghar To Bengaluru: Air travel between the Deoghar district of Jharkhand and Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru is going to be easier from June 1 as Deoghar Airport is all set to make air travel more accessible with its direct flight service to Bengaluru from the said date.

The inaugural flight is scheduled to touch down at 12:40 pm, coinciding with the voting day, offering a convenient opportunity for residents working in South India to return home and cast their votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, reported English Jagran.

The flight, operated by Indigo, will charge Rs 6,500 for the Deoghar to Bengaluru journey, marking the airport’s second connection with a major city after Delhi. The Airbus, equipped with 186 seats, will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, reported English Jagran.
As of now, the Deogarh airport enables daily direct flights to Delhi and Kolkata, with plans to introduce services to Mumbai soon. Additional airlines are expected to kick off operations post-July, further enhancing air connectivity in the region. This expansion is anticipated to boost the local economy and offer convenience to pilgrims visiting the 12th Jyotirlinga and Parasnath.

This move will especially benefit travelers, including those employed in Bengaluru, who often face challenges in visiting their families due to limited vacation time.
