SBI Net banking: State Bank of India internet banking can be locked to avoid fraud; do this at onlinesbi.com

SBI Net banking: The State Bank of India (SBI) has warned its online customers about what to do while using SBI net banking so as to avoid online fraud. For SBI net banking customers, the largest Indian commercial bank has introduced lock and unlock user facilities. As per the information available on the official website of the SBI, onlinesbi.com, for better control and security of bank account, the link ‘Lock and unlock user’ available in the home / login page can be used to lock or unlock SBI net banking access. But, the facility is for retail users only.

How to lock SBI net banking access

To avail of this ‘lock’ and ‘unlock’ facility of the SBI net banking, a SBI customer needs to log in at the official website onlinesbi.com and then click at the ‘Lock and Unlock User’ option at teh log in space and then follow some easy steps.

Here is the step by step guide to avail of this SBI netbanking facility and avoid any kind of online banking fraud:

1] Log in at the official website of SBI – onlinesbi.com;

2] Click at at the option of ‘Lock and unlock user’ at log in point;

3] Fill the details like Internet banking users name, account number and captcha code;

4] From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Lock User Access’ option;

5] Click at ‘OK’ button for verification;

6] An OTP(one-time password) will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID; and

7] Enter the correct OTP to lock your Internet banking access.

Later you can unlock access through ‘onlinesbi’ website. There is no charge for ‘Lock and unlock user’ facility being provided to the SBI net banking users.
