4-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift to launch in 2022: What it’ll look like

Maruti Suzuki Swift is not only a successful car in India and it is quite popular in the international markets as well. Suzuki is currently working on the fourth-generation Swift and it is likely to be launched in the Indian market in 2022. While no one knows what the all-new Swift will look like, there are a few rendering images that uses creativity to predict the looks of the all-new car. Here are new rendering images.

The rendering images by BestCarWeb, a Japanese automobile portal imagines what the all-new Swift will look like in real life. The rendered images indicate that the all-new Swift will retain the DNA when it comes to the looks. However, it will become much sleeker than before. Starting with the front, the rendering shows that the fourth-generation Swift gets sleek headlamps with integrated LED DRL and projector lamps. It retains the clamshell bonnet design with the Suzuki logo on it.

Since this rendering shows the sportier Swift Sport, it does get some blacked-out parts that make it look aggressive. The front grille gets a thick bar and there are fog lamp housings in the bumper. There are additional LED lamps here but we think that only one set of DRL will be available with the all-new Swift. From the side, it largely remains unchanged and still offers the rear window integrated door handle.

The rear looks interesting too. There are double exhaust tips in the bottom and a thick black bumper. The tail lamps are similar to the current version but the shape has changed slightly. There is also a reflector connecting both the tail lamps.

4th generation Swift: Engine options

The all-new Swift will continue to offer petrol engine options in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki recently launched the more powerful Swift powered by the 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that is more powerful than before. The engine produces a maximum power of 90 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. It will get the start-stop system just like the current version of the car. However, Suzuki may add some other advanced technologies to the all-new Swift. Suzuki may also start to offer a mild-hybrid system with the all-new Swift to increase the overall fuel efficiency. While we may also get to see an electric version of the car.

The HEARTECT platform can support electric drivetrains and with the rising demand and popularity of electric cars around the world, we may get to see a Swift EV too.

Maruti Suzuki currently offers an AMT with Swift and that is likely to continue for the next-generation car too. Also, expect a few India-specific changes to the Swift that will ensure affordability and fuel efficiency. Maruti Suzuki is yet to make an official comment on the upcoming Swift.
