Telangana Class 12 Board Exams: Final decision expected to be out soon

The final decision regarding the cancellation of the Telangana Class 12 board exams 2021 will be announced soon by the state government.

The government of Telangana will be announcing the final decision regarding the conduction or cancellation of the Class 12 board exams in the state soon. It is being speculated that the Class 12 exams in the state will be cancelled.

The Telangana government had earlier postponed its Class 12 or Inter exams due to the pandemic and had said that the final decision for the same will be announced in the first week of June. Though students are speculating on the cancellation of the exams, no formal announcement has been made yet.

Students can expect the decision of the Telangana government regarding the cancellation of the exams in a couple of days. Many states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have recently announced the cancellation of Class 12 board exams.

The central government, on June 1, cancelled the conduction of the CBSE Class 12 board exams across the country. After this, CISCE and NIOS, along with several state governments also decided to call off the conduction of their Class 12 board exams.

Telangana Class 10 exams cancelled

Earlier, the government of Telangana had already announced the cancellation of Class 10 or Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams in the state, after students and parents were opposing offline exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Telangana SSC Board will be coming up with an objective criterion for the evaluation and promotion of Class 10 students in the state, as the exams stand cancelled. The details of this assessment criterion will be announced soon.

Even though the Class 10 exams in Telangana stand cancelled, students will be given the option to appear for physical exams if they are not satisfied with their results. The physical exams will take place once the Covid-19 situation in the state is better.

CBSE is also yet to decide on its evaluation criteria for Class 12 students, who will be promoted without the conduction of exams this year. A 13-member committee has been set up for deciding the assessment criteria, which will be submitted in 10 days.
