Tata Motors unveils 2021 Tigor EV; Pre-booking starts, will officially launch on THIS date

This is the second electric car from Tata Motors after the Nexon EV, which is based on Ziptrop technology.

2021 Tata Tigor EV Unveiled: Tata Motors has showcased its new Tigor EV on 18th August. Tata Motors will officially launch it on August 31 and its prices will be announced on the same day. The new Tigor EV will come with Ziptron technology.  

This is the second electric car from Tata Motors after the Nexon EV, which is based on Ziptrop technology. Equipped with a 26 Kw Lithium battery pack, this electric car will accelerate to 0.60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The company has started its pre-booking.  

The bookings for the new Tata Tigor EV have started. Its sale will start from August 31. If you want to buy the new Tigor EV, then you can book it by visiting the company’s official website or the nearest Tata Motors showroom for just Rs 21 thousand. 

The customers will get a warranty of 8 years and 1.6 lakh km on Tata Motors’ Tigor EV. It will get more than 30 connected features. 

The new Tata Tigor EV can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 1 hour with a fast charger. On the other hand, in a regular charge i.e. home charging, it will be charged from 0 to 80 percent in about 8.5 hours. This car can be charged with a socket of 15A, which is easily available in our home and office. 

Customers will get excellent safety features in the new Tata Tigor EV. It will get features like hill ascent, hill descent control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD with CSC i.e. cornering stability control. Apart from this, the car will be equipped with an IP67 rated battery pack and motor. Tata Motors claims that the new Tigor EV will now be the safest electric sedan in the country.

Tata Motors continues to dominate the electric car market in India. Anand Kulkarni, Vice President (EV Business), Tata Motors, says that the company entered the electric vehicle segment in 2017. There are more than 8500 electric vehicles on Indian roads today. Of these, more than 6000 are Nexon EVs. Kulkarni said that today there is a need to give more and more EV options to the customers. Tigor EV will now come with Ziptron technology.
