Buy railways tickets with EMIs: IRCTC-CASHe launch Travel Now Pay Later payment option

Passengers travelling with Indian Railways can now buy tickets and pay for them later. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Cooperation (IRCTC) has partnered with CASHe to offer Travel Now Pay Later (TNPL) payment option on its travel app IRCTC Rail Connect.

Using the TNPL option, travellers can travel first and pay for the tickets in easy Equated Monthly Instalments (EMI) of 6 to 8 months. The option will give greater flexibility to millions of travellers who prefer to travel via trains.

“The EMI payment option will be available on IRCTC travel app’s checkout page for passengers booking their reserved and tatkal tickets. CASHe’s TNPL EMI payment option offers a seamless user experience by automatically qualifying all users to avail the TNPL facility without any documentation,” CASHe said in a press release.

The AI-driven platform CASHe said it partnered with the Indian Railways to provide the Travel Now Pay Later option to Indian Railway customers who book tickets via Rail Connect app.

The Rail Connect app has over 90 million downloads and processes bookings of over 1.5 million railway ticket per day.

The concept of BNLP or buy now pay later is available with all major e-commerce platform already. With IRCTC-CASHe partnership, travellers will be able to make use of this payment method as well.
