“I went through a lot of struggle when I entered this Industry. I was going through a huge financial crunch and was looking for shelter in Mumbai. When Amitabh Bachchan came to know about this, he personally wrote a letter to Manohar Joshi, who was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra during 1995-99. And I got a house from the government only because of his recommendation. I still have that letter with me, which I have framed. I am so proud that he knows me, and I know him. We have been friends for the last 55 years. I love his attitude and nature,” Vikram Gokhale told ETimes in 2021.

While playing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father in the 1999 Sanjay Leela Bhansali film “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” he left quite an impression on viewers.

Other popular Bollywood films in which Vikram Gokhale has appeared include Hey Ram, Tum Bin, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hichki, and Mission Mangal. Along with Abhimanyu Dassani, Shirley Setia, and Shilpa Shetty, he starred in his last Bollywood film, “Nikamma,” in 2022.
