Padma Awards 2023 announced: Mulayam Singh, Zakir Hussain, Sudha Murty among selected; check full list of winners

On the eve of the 74th Republic Day, the Centre announced a list of over 100 persons in the country who have been selected to receive the Padma Awards 2023. Several notable personalities like deceased political leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and Indian activist Sudha Murty have been named in the list.

A total of 106 people have been included in the list of Padma Awardees 2023, which includes those who will be awarded the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri, which are the highest civilian honors in India, after the Bharat Ratna.

Till now, no one has been named for the Bharat Ratna, but the awardee is expected to be announced soon. The list comprises 6 Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan, and 91 Padma Shri Awards. This year, 19 of the total awardees are women.
