Gold, Silver Prices Today: After trading in the red for two sessions, precious metals edged higher in Friday’s session. Both gold and silver regained their shine as the yellow metal was trading in the green on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver also jumped up.
Gold futures, maturing on April 5, were up Rs 65 points to Rs 55,804 per 10 grams while silver futures, maturing on May 5, were down Rs 376 at Rs 64,410 per 1 kg on the MCX.
Gold prices declined by Rs 295 to Rs 55,700 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday amid weak global trends, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous session, the precious metal had settled at Rs 55,995 per 10 grams. Silver also tumbled by Rs 640 to Rs 64,380 per kg.

International Gold, Silver Prices
Gold prices edged lower in the last trading session as the US weekly jobs data hinted at a tight labour market that could keep the Federal Reserve on its rate-hiking cycle, underpinning the dollar and Treasury yields. Spot gold was down 0.1 per cent at $1,835.03 per ounce by 01:48 p.m. ET (1848 GMT). Spot silver fell 0.8 per cent to $20.83 per ounce.
