Ola Electric has introduced the S1 X e-scooter in India, starting at Rs 89,999(ex-showroom), available in three versions. The flagship S1 X+ features a new 5.0-inch LCD display. Pricing for the three variants is Rs 1.10 lakh for S1 X+, Rs 99,999 for S1 X 3kWh, and Rs 89,999 for S1 X 2 kWh (all prices, ex-showroom). S1 X+ and S1 X 3kWh boast a 6kW motor and 3kWh battery, offering 151 km range and 90 kmph top speed, while S1 X 2kWh features a 6kW motor and 2kWh battery, providing a 91 km range and 85 kmph top speed.

TVS X

TVS Motor Company has unveiled its eagerly awaited electric scooter, the TVS X, in Dubai. The price starts at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The deliveries are slated to begin in November, initially rolling out in Bengaluru before expanding to 15 other cities by year-end. Sporting a contemporary design with sleek LED lights, the scooter is based on the XLETON platform. The feature highlights include a spacious 19-litre utility box and a unique 10-inch TFT instrument cluster that doubles as an entertainment hub. Furthermore, the e-scooter offers a 175mm ground clearance and a 770mm rider seat height. It features three riding modes: Xtride, Xtealth, and Xonic. The Hill Hold Control enhances safety, while the innovative ram-cooled electric motor propels it from 0-40 kmph in just 2.4 seconds, achieving a top speed of 105 kmph with a range of 140 km. The scooter can be charged upto 80 percent in 3 hours and 40 minutes with both portable and rapid charger options.

SIMPLE ONE ELECTRIC SCOOTER

Simple Energy, the prominent Indian EV startup, has launched its inaugural electric two-wheeler, the Simple ONE, at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), with the Super EV model, including a 750W charger, available at Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This Made-in-India e-scooter offers an impressive 212 km range, the longest in the country. It’s also the fastest in its segment, going from 0-40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. The e-scooter features a thermal management system, supports fast-charging, and boasts a cutting-edge 7-inch digital display for an enhanced riding experience.

ATHER 450S

Ather Energy, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has introduced its affordable electric scooter, the 450S, in India, priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company also upgraded its existing lineup, enhancing the 450X model by offering 115-km and 145-km range variants priced at Rs 1.38 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh, respectively. The 450S boasts a 2.9 kWh battery, a 115 km range, and a top speed of 90 km/hour. Additionally, Ather offers a Pro pack with advanced features, priced at Rs 14,000 for the 450S, Rs 16,000 for the 450X (2.9 kWh battery), and Rs 23,000 for the 450 (3.7 kWh battery).

River, the domestic electric vehicle company, has unveiled its first e-scooter produced at its new manufacturing hub in Hoskote, Karnataka. With updated FAME II Subsidy regulations, the ‘Indie’ e-scooter’s price will soon be revealed, but it’s available for pre-order in Bengaluru at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The impressive 120,000 square feet facility can produce 100,000 units annually, showcasing innovative automated assembly lines for batteries and vehicles. River is also constructing an experiential center in Bengaluru to engage customers, set to open in November. This pioneering company has both production and corporate headquarters in Karnataka, a significant move in electric mobility.
