Festive Season 2023: Indian Railways Announces 283 Festival Special Trains, Check List

In a move to control the rush and manage the passengers during the festive season, Indian Railways has announced 283 festival special trains. It has been informed by the railway authorities that these special trains will do a total of 4,480 trips,  and provide a big relief to the passengers who are planning to go out during the busy season.

While confirming the news on X, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted in Hindi that reads “Special facility of Indian Railways on the occasion of Puja, Diwali, Chhath.”

Special Drive By Indian Railways

In a view to stop the ticketless passengers to move in train, the the railways authorities have launched a special drive, where ticket-checking staff are being advised to pay extra attention to passengers with proper tickets and valid ID proofs.

As per the official details, anyone caught traveling in special trains without tickets, will face strict legal action, or heavy challan or both. The rail authorities also asked passengers nationwide to book tickets in advance online to avoid long queues,
