Indian Railways introduces new overnight train on Uttarakhand-Delhi route! Know distance, travel time, stoppages, and more

This is going to be the second fastest train on the route after Siddhabali J SH Express train.

Good news for Uttarakhand! Indian Railways is working round-the-clock to enhance connectivity across the country. In this context, the national transporter has introduced a new train between the Kotdwar and Anand Vihar Terminal. The train will provide a convenient overnight train service between the state and the national capital.

Distance and Travel time of Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express:-

The train number 14090/14089 Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express will cover a distance of 283 km in six hours and 35 minutes. This is going to be the second fastest train on the route after Siddhabali J SH Express train.

Composition and Frequency of Train number 14089/14090 Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express:-

This train will have AC 3rd tier, Sleeper Class, and General class accommodation. It will be a daily service for the passengers intending to travel in this train.

Stoppages of Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express:-

In its journey on both the directions, the train number 14089/14090 Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express will stop at nine stations. These are – Saneh Road, Najibabad Junction, Muzzampur NRYN, Laksar Junction, Roorkee, Tapri, Deoband, Muzaffarnagar, and Meerut City railway station.

Timings of Train number 14089/14090 Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express:-

The train no. 14090 Kotdwar- Anand Vihar will depart from Kotdwara at 22:00 hours to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 04:35 hours the next morning. In return direction Train no. 14089 Anand Vihar- Kotdwar Express will depart from Anand Vihar at 21:45 hours to reach Kotdwara at 3:50 hours the next morning.

Fare of Train number 14089/14090 Kotdwara-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kotdwara Express:-

To travel from Kotdwara to ANVT in the Sleeper Class, the fare is Rs 200, whereas for AC 3 Tier, the ticket costs Rs 505.

The train was flagged off by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually from Dehradun on October 28, 2023 (Saturday). The CM has also expressed his gratitude towards Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for providing this much-awaited service for the state.
