Garlic To Fenugreek, 5 Home Remedies To Reduce Arthritis Pain In Winter

Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more joints in the body. One of the main symptoms of arthritis is joint pain and stiffness. The symptoms become worse with age. The onset of winter can worsen it.

Garlic

In Ayurveda, garlic is an effective remedy to get rid of the problem of arthritis. Due to a presence of a compound in garlic, it makes it anti-inflammatory. One can consume garlic regularly and get relief from swelling and joints. Arthritis patients must eat 2 to 3 cloves of garlic with lukewarm water in the morning every day. By doing this one will get soon.

Turmeric

Another home remedy to reduce arthritis pain in the joints is turmeric. This can be found in every Indian kitchen. The presence of curcumin in turmeric makes it anti-inflammatory and helps against swelling in the body due to arthritis. Arthritis patients can apply turmeric based on the joints. To make this pasta mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder in 4 tablespoons of coconut oil and then apply this mixture gently on the joints and massage.

Castor oil

Another effective remedy is using castor oil to relieve joint pain. During the winter, if you want to elevate the pain of arthritis, then regularly use castor oil to massage the joints every day. Make sure before using it. You heat it lightly. Note, that the oil should always be massaged gently on the joints.

Hot compress

To get relief from inflammation and pain from arthritis, make sure to do a hot compress. Take a hot water bag and apply it to the joints. By doing so the swelling in the joints due to the arthritis goes down and also reduces the pain.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek or methi is yet another excellent home remedy to treat arthritis. Make sure to include it in your everyday diet. Take two spoons of fabric seeds and soak them in water overnight. The next morning chew the seeds and then drink this water. By doing so you can get relief from the pain of arthritis.
