Amazon cuts price for Prime membership

E-commerce giant Amazon has reduced the price of Prime membership in India under its Prime Lite membership plan. The plan, which was initially launched at Rs 999, has now been reduced to Rs 799 according to the Prime support page on Amazon’s website. This means a decrease of Rs 200 in the Prime Lite membership price.

Amazon Prime Membership is available with different option. The subscription for one month is available at Rs 299, three months for Rs 599 and a yearly plan is available at Rs 1,499.

In addition to the price reduction, there have been some changes to the benefits offered with the Prime Lite membership. Previously, the plan included free two-day delivery, but now it includes One-Day Delivery, Two-Day Delivery, Scheduled Delivery, and Same-Day Delivery. However, Prime Music is still not included, and Prime Video is limited to HD quality. Another change is that the membership now supports only one device instead of two.

Despite these changes, other benefits of the Prime Lite membership remain the same. These include morning delivery at Rs 175 per item, No-cost EMI, 6-month free screen replacement, and more.

Compared to the regular Prime membership, the Prime Lite plan does have some limitations. It does not include one-day delivery, discounted morning delivery at Rs 50 per item, unlimited Prime Video device support, and 4K resolution support.

These changes to the Prime Lite membership plan aim to make it more affordable for users while still offering a range of benefits for their online shopping experience.
