The Central Railway said it will extend the periodicity of 1,106 trips of special trains to “clear the extra rush of passengers”.
The Central Railway, one of the zones served by the Indian Railways, has announced more than 1,100 additional trips of 22 special trains connecting Maharashtra, in a bid to cater to additional passenger traffic across the railway stations during the ongoing festive season. The move is set to lead to confirm tickets for a number of passengers travelling to and from the state.

22 trains to make 1,106 trips
The Central Railway said it will extend the periodicity of 1,106 trips of special trains to “clear the extra rush of passengers”. In a press release, dated December 20, the Indian Railways arm said that the halts and compositions of the special trains will remain the same.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Solapur weekly special trains
Train No. 01435 Solapur-LTT, notified up to 26.12.2023, is extended to run from 02.01.2024 to 26.03.2024 (13 trips)

Solapur-Tirupati weekly special trains

What is Central Railway?
The Central Railway, which connects several parts of Maharashtra with north-eastern regions of Karnataka and southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, caters to a network of 3,905.5 route kilometres and 5,975.33 track kilometres linking 477 stations in five divisions: Mumbai, Pune, Bhusawal, Nagpur and Solapur .
Special train bookings
The Central Railway said that bookings for the special trains will open on December 22 at the computerised reservation centres as well as the IRCTC website, www.irctc.co.in.
