Aadhaar: Follow These Steps To Change Old Photo With New One

Nowadays, an Aadhaar card is one of the essential documents required for various government and non-government services. It is an address and identity proof with a photo issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIADI). The details of Aadhaar like photos, addresses, and mobile numbers can be updated. If you have an old picture of yours on your Aadhar card and want to update it with the latest one then Here’s how you can update your Aadhar card photo.

You will have to pay a small charge of Rs 100 as a fee to update your photo on your Aadhaar card. and this can be done by visiting the nearest Aadhaar centre or the Aadhaar Permanent Enrollment Centre. Changes including biometrics and photos can not be updated online by yourself. You need to visit the nearest Aadhaar centre to update Photos and biometrics.

Steps to Change Photo  Aadhaar Card

– You need to Visit your nearest Aadhaar Permanent Enrollment Centre.

– Fill out the registration form available online or at the centre and submit it.

– Next, the attendant at the centre will take your photo.

– You have to Pay Rs100 to update biometric details.

Steps to download an updated Aadhar card with a new photo

– Login to UIDAI official portal

– Click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option in the My Aadhaar section of the home page, and Choose between ‘Aadhaar Number’, ‘Enrollment ID’ and Virtual ID as e-Aadhaar download mode, Enter your selection details, You will have to check CAPTCHA code before sending OTP to your registered phone number. Next, Enter the OTP to verify the process. Now, you will have your password-protected e-Aadhaar downloaded on your device.

According to UIDAI, this e-Aadhaar password is the first four letters of your name (in caps) and your year of birth.
