The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to release the UPSC Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2024 official notification today, February 14. Interested and eligible candidates can check the UPSC CSE 2024 notification on the official website at upsc.gov.in, once out. It will contain all the details about the exams including the age limit, eligibility criteria, exam structure, and other important dates.

The CSE prelims exam application will likely commence today. As per the official notification, the last date to apply for the prelims exam is March 5. It is scheduled to be held on May 26 while the mains exam will be held on October 19. To be eligible to apply for the UPSC exam, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or have an equivalent qualification. They must also be between 21 and 32 years of age.

UPSC CSE 2024: HOW TO CHECK NOTIFICATION?

Step 1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2. Look for the UPSC CSE 2024 notification link on the homepage.

Step 3. Click on the link. A PDF file containing the prelim exam notification will display on the screen.

Step 4. Download and save the page for further use.

To apply for the exam candidates will have to fill up the given form by registering themselves, uploading the required documents, and paying the application fees. Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 100, based on previous years’ patterns (excluding women, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates, who are exempt from fees).

Candidates must note that the UPSC Prelims Paper 1 focuses on General Studies 1 for which aspirants need to cover a diverse range of topics, including national and international relations, the history of India, the Indian National Movement, India’s social geography, politics, and governance encompassing the constitution, political system and public policy, economic and social development touching upon sustainable development, poverty and environmental studies covering biodiversity and climate change, in addition to general science.
