New Delhi: The PAN card, or Permanent Account Number, is a vital document for Indian citizens. It serves both tax-related purposes and as a form of identity proof. Each PAN card contains a unique ten-digit alphanumeric number and is issued in laminated card form by the Indian Tax Department.

Steps To Verify PAN Card Online:

Step 1: Logon to the ‘e-Filing’ Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘Verify Your PAN details’ hyperlink from the ‘Quick Links’ Section.

Step 3: Enter the PAN, Full Name (As per PAN), Date of Birth and Choose the ‘Status’ as applicable.

Step 4: Enter the Captcha as in the image and click on ‘Submit’ to verify your PAN details.

How To Apply For PAN:

Apply Online: You can submit an online application through the websites of UTIITSL or NSDL. Learn how to apply online by checking the instructions provided on their websites.

Visit PAN Application Center: You can also apply for a PAN card by visiting a PAN Application Center. These centres are operated by NSDL and UTITSL.
