Moto Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion India Launch Expectations: Motorola May Launch Premium Handsets On April 3; Here’s Why

Motorola could be gearing up to launch its next premium phones in India that could fill the vacuum of the successors of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion. Several media outlets have reportedly received invites for a launch event on April 3 from Motorola India. While the brand has not shared details about possible launches, the event will take place in Delhi.

The company promises a “fusion of art and intelligence” on the date. It could hint at a debut of the Edge 50 Fusion in India. Motorola’s X (formerly Twitter) handle also suggests a new ‘Edge’ series handset. In the latest post, the brand teased a Motorola phone with a curved display in a shade of blue. The “New Edge” text and previous rumours hint the device may be none other than the Edge 50 Pro.

Earlier, Android Headlines claimed the handset could arrive in three colours: black, blue and beige (textured finish). The handsets may offer a leather-like finish on the back. Meanwhile, here are the expected specifications of both handsets.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion Specifications (Expectations)

The Edge 50 Pro could offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen with up to 165Hz refresh rate. It may have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and run on a clean Android 14 experience. The device could offer a 4,500mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless charging. Edge 50 Pro may have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP OIS primary lens, a 6X telephoto and an ultrawide sensor.

According to tipster Evan Blass, the Edge 50 Fusion may offer a 6.7-inch pOLED display. Under the hood, it may get a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. It will likely have a 50MP primary lens on the rear and a 32MP selfie shooter. The Fusion trim may offer a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging. Both phones may sport an IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Plus, the handset could also offer AI features within the UI.
