Petrol and Diesel Prices On April 16, 2024: Today on 16th April, new rates of petrol and diesel have been released across the country. Every day at 6 am in the country, government oil companies release new prices of petrol and diesel.

India’s oil secretary Pankaj Sharma on April 2 pointed out that rising crude oil prices are a cause of concern. The remarks by the oil ministry official came after Indian oil marketing companies (OMCs) had slashed prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre on March 14 after crude oil prices were trading around $80 per barrel for quite some time.

In India, the pricing of petrol and diesel is subject to influences like freight charges, value-added tax (VAT), and local taxes, resulting in different rates across states.

Today petrol has become Rs 104.21 per liter in Mumbai, Rs 103.94 in Kolkata and Rs 100.75 per liter in Chennai. Whereas the price of diesel has become Rs 92.15 per liter in Mumbai, Rs 90.76 in Kolkata and Rs 92.34 per liter in Chennai.

Chandigarh: Petrol is Rs 94.24 per liter and diesel is Rs 82.40 per liter

Hyderabad: Petrol is Rs 107.41 per liter and diesel is Rs 95.65 per liter
