BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday transferred Rs 386 crore to the accounts of around 18 lakh landless agricultural labourers under Kalia scheme. With this, the landless agricultural labourers received special Covid assistance of Rs 1,000 in addition to regular instalments.
Under Kalia, the government provides assistance of Rs 12,500 for landless agricultural labourers in three instalments. Addressing them, Naveen said farmers, labourers and workers are the nucleus of the states economy.
