Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s super hit film, ‘Leo’, is marching towards Rs 500 crore worldwide. The action thriller, which falls under LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), saw a huge dip in collection on October 25. After the Dussehra holidays came to an end, theatres are seeing a decline in audiences’ turnout. Yet, it has been collecting in double digits in India, according to trade reports.
‘LEO’ MARCHES TOWARDS RS 500 CRORE WORLDWIDE
Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ was one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The film graced the screens on October 19 in multiple languages.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Leo’ is inching towards the Rs 500-crore mark worldwide. On October 25, a day after the Dussehra holidays, the film witnessed a major dip in collection. According to early estimates, ‘Leo’ is said to have earned Rs 12.50 crore net in India.
This takes seven-day total collection to Rs 262.30 crore net in India. ‘Leo’ also registered 34.71 per cent on October 25.
Ahimsa Entertainment, distributors of ‘Leo’ in the United Kingdom, informed fans that it was the highest-grossing Tamil film. It earned 1.36 million Euros (Rs 11 crore approximately) in seven days.

‘Leo’ marks the second collaboration of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after ‘Master’. This film has screenplay written by Lokesh, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy. The action entertainer boasts an ensemble cast including Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand and several others were seen in supporting roles.
